By downloading or using MeditationLock ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These terms govern your use of MeditationLock, developed and operated by Roy Brubaker ("we", "us", or "our"). If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Use of the App

MeditationLock is designed to help you reduce mindless screen time by blocking selected apps and prompting a brief mindfulness reset. You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose and in compliance with all applicable laws.

3. Screen Time & Device Permissions

MeditationLock uses Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls / ManagedSettings) to block apps you select. You authorize the App to apply these restrictions on your device. You can remove these permissions at any time through iOS Settings.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Some features of MeditationLock require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings.

We do not offer refunds outside of Apple's standard refund policy.

MeditationLock is a wellness tool and is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or psychiatric advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have concerns about your mental health or screen use habits, consult a qualified professional.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific needs. Use of the App is at your own risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data or productivity.

8. Changes to the App or Terms

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the App or these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
